The philosophy of the VDP.Heitlinger Winery: Pure nature! The team has been practicing biodynamic viticulture since 2014; Heitlinger has been Demeter-certified since the 2024 vintage. Modern Burgundy wines in all their facets are produced on 160-million-year-old Kraichgau limestone-sediment soils. As early as the 12th century, Cistercian monks discovered that the calcareous hills of the Kraichgau offered ideal conditions for Pinot grapes. Sheep graze in Heitlinger’s vineyards and drones circle above the vines-this is winemaker Patrick Jacklin’s take on contemporary agriculture that meets the highest quality standards.
