JÜNGERKÜHN is a design studio bridging the gap between industrial design and digital crafts with a focus on material mindfulness. Based in Berlin, we design products and processes that resonate with a sense of humanity and animacy. Our studio draws on the act of making and exploring how objects can be formed both industrially and by hand, and how digital technology can augment these methods. The results of our explorations include everyday use products, furniture, digital fabrication models and experimental robotic installations. As a design studio, we always work material forward, aiming to find new tangible expressions of media. We constantly ask ourselves: How can emerging technologies be used to shape a new type of craftsmanship?
